Supporting our schools with funds and experiences
The Bushey Federation PTA is a registered charity, working together to raise funds for our schools and create fun experiences for the children – enriching the educational experience and contributing to the school community.
Our goals for 2025–26
Grow our membership
All parents and carers are part of the PTA, but the more active members the better, to share the load and to make running events sustainable. The more hands on deck the more we can achieve, so please consider joining our group of volunteers and/or regular meetings.
Develop fun, engaging events for everyone
Our events are varied, with family events including Happy's Circus returning in 2026, Festive Fireworks and in-school events for the kids. We are keen for new ideas and committed volunteers to help organise them – please get in touch if this is you!
Improve the outdoor spaces
This year we hope to improve the outdoor area at the Infant School in particular, revamping the pirate ship and exploring new ideas for the playground.

The more the merrier – join the PTA!
Becoming a part of the PTA offers a chance to make a positive difference to the lives of our children, and we try to make it fun for ourselves at the same time! The team is friendly, open to new ideas and for anyone to get stuck in to help make it happen.
We fit planning and events in around other commitments – we know that it’s not easy to always find time and that not everyone can help every time – but we would love for you to join us in any capacity that you can.

Volunteer
Join the WhatsApp group and volunteer your time supporting at an event or two per year. To join the group, please get in touch.

What we've acheived so far
Annual fundraising events
Our busiest years have included organising a Halloween Trail, film nights, Mother's Day and Fathers Day Surprise Rooms, Festive Fireworks, Happy's Circus and the Summer Fair. We are looking to add or change fundraising activities to keep things fun and engaging for the community. Ideas and input welcome!
Annual gifts back
PTA funds go towards in-school events, to enrich the school experience. These include theatre company visits to school, dance workshops, Year 2 teddies, Yeah 6 graffiti workshop, film nights, Mr Marvel parties and more.
Significant purchases for the school
In 2021, we purchased the wooden climbing frame at Bushey Manor, and have purchased equipment such as a sound system and gazebos to help run events. In 2023, after 2 extremely successful years, we bought 60 Chromebooks to support the children's learning. Most recently in 2025, we helped fund and build a Podcast Studio to enhance the children's learning in these media.
We did it!
During the Summer Fair we unveiled the Podcast Studio, funded with PTA money. Thank you to each and every donation for making this happen!
